Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven, Germany is preparing for one of the largest superyacht launches of the year where the 140-metre project Solaris is currently being uncovered, revealing a timeless design. Built from steel, project Solaris covers eight decks and is finished in an elegant light grey hull and crisp white superstructure.Photo: Scheer
From these first aerial images, it is clear that Solaris will come with a large helicopter landing pad along with what appears to be a heli hangar integrated into the mast structure. The sun deck forward features a sunbathing area while the open aft deck will be the perfect outdoor beach club setting. Photo: Scheer

Fitted with a power and energy management system from ABB, Solaris is equipped with two Azipods powered by nine megawatts - the most powerful of its kind ever installed on a yacht. Photo: Christian Eckardt
The yard is best known for the construction of the 115-metre Luna in 2010.Â
