First Look: 140m project Solaris ready for launch at Lloyd
Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven, Germany is preparing for one of the largest superyacht launches of the year where the 140-metre project Solaris is currently being uncovered, revealing a timeless design. The project entered its outfitting phase in 2018 after several block sections were assembled in the yard鈥檚 floating dock.

Built from steel, project Solaris covers eight decks and is finished in an elegant light grey hull and crisp white superstructure.

From these first aerial images, it is clear that Solaris will come with a large helicopter landing pad along with what appears to be a heli hangar integrated into the mast structure. The sun deck forward features a sunbathing area while the open aft deck will be the perfect outdoor beach club setting.

Fitted with a power and energy management system from ABB, Solaris is equipped with two Azipods powered by nine megawatts - the most powerful of its kind ever installed on a yacht.
